Supernatural
Recently, I have discovered a great new series on cable - Supernatural. Action, drama and mystery, Supernatural tells a story about 2 brothers who travel all around the country to battle ghosts, demons and whatever eerie paranormal monsters you can think of.Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles stars as the ill-fated Winchester brothers who have lost their loved ones to the evil forces. Bound by the need to seek the truth and revenge, they set off together to discover the mystery which had troubled them for more than 20 years.
The pace of every episode is exciting and thrilling, spurning tales of urban legends which would be familiar to us eg the 'Lady in White', 'Bloody Mary' story, Possesion of Death/Disaster etc. (Actually, the Bloody Mary story sorta reminded me of Ju-On story)
If you are a fan of horror & action and cute guys, watch it! I rate this series 9/10 with 1 extra point (that makes it 10/10) for the two brothers. They are sooo...cute....

So Dark The Con of NUSHave you seen this advert? Gosh! It's so lame, you just can't stop laughing...For those who have not, have a good laugh...How they came up with that idea, I can't imagine but the NUS marketing people should be more humble...
Cute boys of NUS?? I was rolling around when they said that...

New Shopping Haven
Heard so much about People's park Complex these days that I decided I should go check it out myself. And wow! I was in for a pleasant surprise! Gone were the days where People's Park was just for the old fogies where they eat, drink beer and chat. The newly renovated People's Park is upmarket, trendy and interesting. Some of the stalls were decorated and furnished in a way which remind me of the Lupin Market (Bangkok) and most had air-conditioning as well, so it was not as hot as I remembered it to be.The 2nd floor was essentially selling textiles, buttons, toiletries and all kinds of knick knacks but that's not my area of interest. The 3rd floor was a shopping haven! Most of the fashion apparel are the latest from Hong Kong and South Korea. And the best part is they are really reasonably priced! I bought a pair of pants at $30 and a pair of shorts/bermudas at $25 (after GSS discount - yes, they are also part of the participating outlets in the GSS!!).
The food centre on the 1st floor was also renovated. Not sure if the old stalls are still there but the famous Yong Tau Foo stall is definitely still around (and still sporting the long queue). I had Big Prawn Noodles and it was really good. The prawns were enormous.
Hey, if you are tired of the Orchard shops and crowd, why not just take a trip down to Chinatown, I guarantee that it'll be worth your while, whether it's shopping or food.
