A serious case of addiction

First of all, a Happy Chinese Piggy Year to all my fellow bloggers and friends. Have been really busy the past months and with work and tv, I didn't have much time to update my blog...*haa*

Anyway, it looks like I will not be able to achieve my SMART Goal of not watching too much tv and korean/hk drama series afterall. We have just crossed the 1st quarter of 2007 and I have already completed watching the following series in VCD/DVDs (the below does not include the series which I watch on Cable Channel 55!!!):

1. Which Star Did You Come From? (Korean Drama) 2 *
2. The Wedding (Korean Drama) 1 *
3. The Rookie (Korean Drama) 1 *
4. Supernatural 2 (US) 3 *
5. Heroes (US) 3 *
6. Sweet Property (TVB HK Drama) 2 *
7. Land of Wealth (TVB HK Drama) 3 *
8. The Charm Beneath (TVB HK Drama) 3 *
9. Hana-Kimi (Taiwanese Drama) 4 *

4 * I’m thinking about the series, the plot and the stars night & day….Serious case of addiction!
3 * I’m Hooked! Going without sleep….It’s 2am but still gotta go on watching….
2 * Watch if got time and no other things to watch
1 * Don’t waste time, give this a miss…zzzzzzzzz

My latest addiction is the new Taiwanese idol hit Hana-Kimi (starring Ella of SHE and Wu Zun of Farenheit). The plot though simple and common, is heart-warming and really cute and hilarious. The synopsis goes like this:

After watching a high jump competition on TV, Lu Rui Xi is so inspired by a jumper named Zuo Yi Quan, she decides to transfer to his school. The problem: she is a girl, and he attends an all-boy school. Solution: She becomes a boy. Thus, she begins her uphill battle to disguise her true gender and show Quan she is his #1 fan.

What Rui Xi doesn't know is that Quan has discovered her secret. However, he is keeping the secret for her and from her. Why? He likes her and doesn't want her to leave his side. If that means treating her as one of the guys and helping her passing off as a guy, then so be it.
Rui Xi's "manliness" couldn't fool her classmate Jin Xiu Yi's girl radar. However, since Xiu Yi is under the assumption that no girl can attend all-boy school, he starts to question his own sexual orientation when he falls in love with Rui Xi, the boy.

Like what odd melody mentioned, Wu Zun is really good looking. Besides his good looks, he has a good bod to boast as well. (salivate yet again…). Ella on the other hand is ermm… really funny looking and if one looks carefully, she actually has a moustache! Anyway, I do feel that the stars’ acting is a tad too expressive for my liking but it’s the typical taiwanese fashion. Overall, the series is very enjoyable and I was laughing all the way….
