Project Superstar 2

I am a fan of all singing competitions and talent time programs etc.

Friends will know that I was religiously keeping track of last year's Project Superstar. The fact that my colleague's son (Hong JunYang) was in the top finalists sorta played a role but nevertheless, I seek pleasure in hearing the criticisms and comments the judges have to make each week. Unlike the vague and nonsensical comments we hear so often in Singapore Idol, the Project Superstar Judges have more depth and truth in their comments. I like the fact that they were able to demonstrate their point by singing aloud or even physically show them what stance or pose they are looking for in a Superstar. Most of time, I like to second-guess their comments. *sigh* If I were young 10 years......


Well anyway, this year is no exception. I have been keeping track of this program (male contestants...never really interested in the female contestants) My favourite contestant is Daren. I feel he has a lot of potential to go far. With rebellious good looks (in a ah-beng kinda fashion), he did well in following the korean/taiwan kinda footsteps with his dressing & poise. Kinda like his voice as well and so far I feel he did well in both slow as well as fast numbers!
